AM Marathon: Class 01 - Week 02

My wife and I had a fantastic day in Disneyland Paris. Lots of kids running around, and a few frustrated parents. It was fun to watch all of that!

As far as this assignment, unfortunately my scanner was giving me a hard time, but regardless, here is the pose for the day:

See you tomorrow!

Very nice pose, Mr. I-Don't-Know. Nice job with the facial expressions too. It all reads quite nicely. Will you be able to upload the sketches? Would like to see what other things you had in mind.

By the way, what was the assignment for Week 2, and what is next week's assignment?

Hey there Isaì,

Thx for the feedback! As far as the sketches, if I get my scanner working, I'll post them for you :)

As far as assignments for today, you'll see in a little bit! :D
Yesterday was just going out, drawing people, picking one pose from that, and doing it in maya. Don't you have the syllabus anymore?

Take care man!

Of course I have the syllabus, you silly French guy. For people that have never done AnimationMentor, though, it would be nice to describe in a quick sentence what the assignment was supposed to be so they know what they are looking at. "Today's assignment was...... and this is my result."

Can't wait to see tomorrow's! Good luck, dude!

That makes a lot of sense Mr Isaì!

Hey, Nice job.
I really like the concept of the pose; The way the kid is pulling the adult looks right and he is really pivoting his weight from the screen left leg, which is why the pose on the adult feels a bit weak.
I think the arms need to be straightened out. Also the hip alignment on the adult could be turned the other way to drag his weight in the opposite direction.
at this point the screen left leg is taking most of his weight, but the screen right leg could do a better job.
